Position Summary
Ensures conformance to industry, company, and customer-specific quality standards for untreated and treated material, preservatives, and treating specifications. Sample collection and analysis of treated wood.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collects wood samples as required
- Analyzes samples and compare to standards for compliance
- Identifies conforming / non-conforming materials
- Sends quality control samples to outside laboratories
- Works with third-party inspectors as required
- Abides to OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act) workplace health and safety standards
- Attaching & recording barcodes
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of related experience
- Proficiency in English, spoken and written
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication.
- Must work exceptionally well in team environments and have strong interpersonal skills.
- Time and stress management
- Attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Knowledge of wood preservation standards
- Ability to work independently and be flexible regarding work assignments
- Basic Math Skills
