**Position Summary**

Based out of New Glasgow or Halifax, NS, the Intern, Financial Reporting provides support to the Financial Reporting team by assisting with monthly reporting, year-end statements and supporting projects as needed to improve the consistency and efficiency of our business and reporting functions. Additional duties of the Intern, Financial Reporting include but are not limited to:

- Assisting with the annual budgeting process.
- Assisting with year-end tenant statements.
- Monthly property accounting including monthly close, journal entries and account reconciliation.
- Assisting with monthly net operating income and key performance indicator reporting (running and reconciling reports, investigating variances, and drafting explanations of significant variances for senior management reporting).
- Working paper preparation.
- Engages across all levels of the organization to create and promote a safe and respectful work environment.
- Other special projects and tasks as assigned.

**The profile we are looking for**
- Enrolled full-time in a post-secondary program with a focus in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related area.
- Able to arrive at job location in May and commit to 4 months full-time contract employment.
- Clear criminal record check.
