Merrco is a payment processing company that enables its merchant customers to accept credit, debit and alternative payments online and at the point of sale. Merrco markets its services directly to merchants and through a network of channel and integrated partners. Merrco has developed specialized expertise in regulated industries and has exclusivity arrangements with its bank sponsor and payment gateway partner for cannabis and cannabis-related transactions.

**Job Summary**
The Risk Resolution Analysts’ role is routinely contact and communicate directly with Merchants to resolve for uncollected balances owing, problematic transactions (including Chargebacks, Fraud, velocity etc.) conduct risk assessment, monitoring and merchant portfolio review functions as part of the Risk Management and Compliance function for Merrco. The individual in this role will be responsible for reviewing, refining and assisting with the development of risk, fraud detection, industry (Card Brand, Acquirer), regulatory and compliance programs including new initiatives and policy development for the firm.

Responsible for managing the daily risk monitoring and assessment programs for the firm ensuring merchant portfolio risks are managed and mitigated.

Oversee the in-house reporting and vendors tools designed to identify risks related to merchant processing activity.

Review Agent initiated merchant origination to ensure new merchants adhere to card brand and acquirer standards for business model, website practices and card brand network security.

Document risk processes, best practices and routines for use by the Risk Management function, operations and the sales functions.

Assist with automating and simplifying routines used in regular risk programs to manage the efficiency and advance their utilization.

Oversee Risk and Compliance adherence from all frontline sales and operations units.

Proactive management of risk reporting and tools to minimize and mitigate potential concerns which are arising from the merchant portfolio.

Assess the impact of regulatory developments services and provide relevant and timely guidance

Continually evolve the design, content and training material of Risk owned documents

Manage the resolution of all merchant issues which may pose a risk to the firm.

The Risk Analyst from will work with Compliance supporting the on-boarding of clients and registration activities. Ensure compliance with PCS and Card Brand policies, including Code of Conduct.

Support the coordination of internal and external Audits or Regulatory reviews

Duties or projects as assigned om time to time.

**Qualifications & Competencies**

Strong communicator able to deliver messaging to Merchants.

University Bachelor’s Degree

Software and Technical Knowledge (Excel, Word, Online Tools)

Knowledge of Payments, Card and Financial Industry Practices and Risks is beneficial.
