Distribution Store Supervisor

Distribution Store Supervisors are expected to be energetic and motivated. They interact directly with our customers in a courteous and professional manner, while overseeing all facets of the location’s operations.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Client Service
- Excellent customer service and selling skills.
- Customer service including sales, answering customer questions, picking and shipping retail and wholesale orders, understanding and meeting the needs of customers.
- Cashing out customers (retail and wholesale) accurately and efficiently using Point-of-Sale (POS).
- Answer incoming phone calls to the store.
- Accurately processing customer orders, returns, and concerns.
- Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge

Store Environment
- Maintain the store, including stocking of merchandise, cleaning of the store and merchandise, maintenance and setup of visual merchandising.
- Participate in all manner of store and location maintenance.
- Opening and closing of the retail store location.

Merchandising and Operations
- Participate in merchandising and promotional activities.
- Inventory control, including conducting inventory audits and reporting outcomes to the Logistics Manager.
- Maintain adequate levels of all supplies, and ensure location infrastructure remains in good working order.
- Ensure all safety procedures are respected and maintained at all times.
- Administrative work as necessary.

Expected Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to work and succeed in a dynamic retail environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours when necessary.
- Previous cash handling or cashier experience is preferred.
- Comfortable multi-tasking.
- Shipping and receiving merchandise from location.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Computer literacy

Staff and Training
- Build weekly schedules and ensure store is adequately staffed within budgetary constraints.
- Accurately report hours worked by staff on a weekly basis to Accounting Department
- Disseminate learning materials from Head Office to all staff under supervision.
- Onboard and train new staff.
- Conduct interviews with when required to hire new staff.

Physical Requirements:

- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Bend and stretch to stock shelves and ship and receive goods.
- Operate pump truck to load and unload merchandise on truck-level loading dock.
