Actuarial Analyst

**What is the opportunity?**

**What will you do?**
- Develop python code to optimize/standardize transformation logic for various valuation models, act as knowledge base/trainer for other Python solutions supporting Data and Reporting Transformation
- Set up downstream reporting processes for IFRS17 technical implementation, including reconciliations/controls
- View/Query in GGY AXIS valuation models to understand different data elements and calculations
- Document data mapping or various architectural requirements to be implemented by Data or IT
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of admin system structure and work process
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of actuarial processes and adhere to internal controls supporting financial reporting, regulatory requirements, etc.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to broader actuarial teams and senior management

**What will you need to succeed?**

Must have
- Bachelor’s degree (or greater) majoring in Actuarial Science, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics
- 2+ years of Python programming skills is a must
- 2+ years of financial experience in actuarial or analytics or finance with demonstrated knowledge of professional standards of practice, the legislative environment and industry best-practices
- Experience in Tableau reporting and/or R programming
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and flexibility to adapt to change
- Ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written)
- In the process of obtaining the SOA

Nice to have
- Advanced knowledge of insurance products
- Working knowledge of GGY AXIS actuarial modeling software
