Be part of a banking experience as unique as you are Tandia Financial Credit Union is seeking a skilled and experienced Communication Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Communication Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategic communication plans to enhance Tandia Financial Credit Union's internal and external communication efforts.

This is currently a hybrid position (3 days in office and 2 days remote) and is based at our new head office location in Burlington, Ontario.

**Your Work at a Glance**
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies: Create and implement communication plans that align with Tandia Financial Credit Union's goals and objectives. Ensure consistency in messaging across various communication channels, including digital platforms, internal newsletters, press releases, and external publications.
- Internal communication: Facilitate effective internal communication by developing and implementing strategies that promote transparent and timely information flow. Collaborate with different departments to disseminate important announcements, updates, and initiatives to employees, fostering a sense of engagement and alignment.
- External communication: Oversee external communication initiatives, including all member communications, annual reports, community announcements, press releases and system communications.
- Cultivate relationships with media outlets and agency partners, overseeing all communication plans.
- Content creation: Develop engaging and impactful content for various communication channels, including website content, social media posts, chatbot communications, newsletters, and marketing materials. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging is consistent and resonates with the target audience.
- Crisis communication: Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage communication during challenging situations. Respond promptly and appropriately to address potential reputational risks and maintain both member and public trust.
- Measurement and evaluation: Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communication initiatives, utilizing analytics and metrics to evaluate engagement, reach, and impact. Provide regular reports and insights to the Executive team to inform decision-making and enhance future communication strategies.
- Collaboration and relationship-building: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and team members, to understand their communication needs and support their objectives. Build relationships with external partners, industry associations, and community organizations to enhance Tandia Financial Credit Union's visibility and reputation.

**We are looking for someone who has/is**:

- Completed a degree / diploma in a business-related field or has equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of successfully developing and implementing communication strategies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and platforms.
- Effective project management skills and is experienced in managing relationships with external business partners.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of digital communication platforms, social media trends, and content management systems.
- Familiarity with the financial industry, credit unions, or similar organizations.
