LAY PASTORAL ASSOCIATE
Sts. Peter and Paul Parish

Part time (18 hours per week)

Friday & Saturday

Overview:
**Responsibilities**:

- LITURGY: Oversee PowerPoint for Mass readings and song lyrics
- LITURGY FOR CHILDREN: Prepare the curriculum per season
- SOCIAL MEDIA: Oversee social media platforms and populate platforms with original content
- SACRAMENTAL PREP: Train catechists for First Communion and Confirmation preparation
- MEDIA: Create promotional flyers and videos
- WEBSITE MANAGEMENT: Oversee the parish website
- PARISH EVENTS: Plan upcoming parish programs with the Pastor; identify, invite, and train facilitators for parish programs; set up in person and online sign-up sheets
- PASTORAL: Discuss weekly homily with the Pastor
- TALKS: Organize series of talks for Advent, Lent, Easter or Pentecost; train facilitators for small group discussion; prepare PowerPoint presentation
- MISSION TRIP: Work with Travel Agent; co-ordinate Information Session; work with the President of the Samaritan Foundation
- STEUBENVILLE: Train facilitators; organize buses; promote event and plan fundraiser
- RETREATS: Organize retreats and train facilitators
- CHRISTMAS PLAY: Coordinate information session and work with parish groups
- FUNDRAISERS: Plan and coordinate information sessions with parish groups
- CATHOLIC SCHOOLS: Organize school masses and school visits; help staff with PowerPoint and music for school Masses
- SUMMER APPAREL: Design graphic t-shirts and oversee marketing
- VOLUNTEER OVERVIEW: Oversee volunteer ministry Leaders
- Other duties, as required

General Requirements:

- Master of Divinity/Baccalaureate in Sacred Theology
- Overall knowledge of Liturgy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint
- Proficient in Final Cut Pro and Adobe Photoshop, or equivalent
- Comfortable speaking publicly and running small groups
- Understanding of the Catholic Church, its tenets and culture, and respect for its leadership and parish clergy
- A criminal background check will be required of the successful applicant
