Blue Mountain Plastics is a state-of-the-art plastics recycling facility that uses multi-layer optical sorting technology. Here we buy mixed plastic bales and other forms of unrefined plastic from municipal recycling programs and businesses. We process them, sorting the materials into different types and colours of plastic. Pellets are produced from the food grade plastic, which can then be used to make new food containers, including our 100% recycled blue, and green bottles. **Forklift Operator Duties**:

- Safe operation of a forklift in addition to a skid steer.
- Unload material off incoming trailers in a timely manner
- Ensure incoming materials are placed in the appropriate areas for production consumption.
- Supply the production line with raw materials to allow for continuous operations.
- Place finished product onto trailers for shipping as per load requests.
- Assist sanitation with operation of the floor sweeper as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse at all-time including all dock area.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Forklift Operators Should**:

- Have minimum 1-year’s prior experience operating a forklift as well as a skid steer (valid lift truck license).
- Be able to read and understand operating procedure documents, health and safety documents etc.
- Communicating effectively with co-workers and external drivers to convey accurate information.
- Be detail oriented.
- Demonstrate spirit of teamwork and collaboration with the flexibility to adapt to various tasks.
