The David Feldman Centre for Real Estate and Urban Economics supports research and education in real estate and urban economics at the University of Toronto. The Centre contributes to a curated curriculum for Rotman Commerce, MBA, and PhD students to develop the next generation of real estate thought leaders. The Centre is also a hub of research and thought leadership, hosting practitioners-in-residence, recognized speakers in real estate, and specialized workshops to drive insights and innovation in this fast-evolving industry.

Although the Centre is located within the Rotman School of Management, its activities involve scholars across the University of Toronto and around the world.

As the Associate Director, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, advisory and supervisory oversight in directing the activities of the Centre, in collaboration with the Academic Director. In addition to developing long term plans and strategies for the Centre, you will oversee: governance; the cultivation of relationships with various internal and external stakeholders; website management; developing and implementing co-curricular activities, club activities, case competitions, and coordinating case writing; coordinating academic seminars and conferences, research grants, and data collection and analysis; and the planning and execution of a variety of small to large scale events.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Coordinates program development activities by leading the development and making recommendations for operational policies and best practices for the program
- Builds and strengthens relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
- Planning and developing an integrated multi-channel communications strategyand produces promotional and outreach materials
- Provides program support by conceptualizing, organizing, and overseeing the delivery of programs, workshops, and/or public events
- Provides student services/support by advising students on co-curricular, academic and personal matters
- Provides administrative support by coordinating meetings, generating reports, and maintaining information on a website
- Accomplishes financial responsibilities by monitoring department budget, managing budget planning, and generating financial reports

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, Master's preferred; or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience
- Minimum six to seven (6-7) years related experience. Background in real estate is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in academic administration is highly preferred
- Experience working with senior management levels in government, industry and universities
- Experience developing strong partnerships and alliances with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders is required
- Experience working on real estate-related issues or programs is highly preferred
- Strategic planning, project and event management, research skills, budget management, and experience securing and managing funds
- Strong verbal and written communication skills along with proven networking and relationship development and management capabilities
- Organization, strong planning skills and the ability to be self-motivated as well as flexible and adaptable
- Excellent interpersonal skills, superb presentation skills and ability to deal effectively with highly diverse and demanding communities of stakeholders. Must be able to effectively engage multiple stakeholders including faculty, corporate clients, university administrators, staff, alumni, students, and business partners
- Maturity and professionalism to deal with senior executives is essential. Demonstrated decision-making skills in a fast-paced, dynamic and culturally diverse environment. Tact, cultural sensitivity, discretion, sensitivity to confidential matters. Ability to work effectively under pressure
