**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure compliance with safety standards and legislation.
- Provide training on safe handling of products, materials, and equipment.
- Investigate accidents/incidents and provide corrective actions.
- Conduct audits to identify unsafe work practices and suggest corrective actions.
- Improve work life quality for employees through environmental health and safety programs.
- Conduct monthly workplace inspections and ensure legal compliance.
- Act as a resource for the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
- Respond to safety concerns and provide hazard recognition counseling.
- Work collaboratively with HR team to support business needs on H&S, environmental, and ergonomic matters.
- Maintain up-to-date H&S communication boards and electronic outlets.
- Participate in employee orientation and present H&S section.
- Prepare and present H&S slides in monthly employee meetings.
- Update and control H&S, environmental, and ergonomic procedures, instructions, and forms.
- Facilitate the Ergonomic Program.
- Arrange, track, and log H&S training for employees. (i.e. WHMIS, Lock Out, TDG, etc.)
- Conduct or assist with H&S, environmental, and ergonomic audits/inspections and recommend improvements.
- Liaise with Corporate H&S personnel and other departments to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain First Aid and PPE inventory and lead the division's Heat Stress process.
- Manage the on-site contractor safety process and coordinate the division's Wellness Program.
- Oversee the division's Accident Investigation process and complete health and safety risk assessments.
- Complete hazardous chemical inventory and assessments.
- Assist with lockout tag-out postings and policy review.

**Qualifications**
- 1-2 years of experience in Health & Safety role in a **manufacturing** environment.
- Grade 12 diploma.
- College/University designation in Occupational or Public Health & Safety.
- Joint Health and Safety Certified Member Certification (asset).
