**Position Purpose summary**:
To provide Christian based pastoral care services, Spiritual Care, direction, and encouragement to residents, volunteers, and staff within our sphere of influence.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide Christian based pastoral care services, Spiritual Care, direction, and encouragement to those who come within the sphere of our influence.
- Plan & coordinate chapel services, devotions, worship events and Bible studies.
- Deliver a regular and intentional visitation program for residents, as well as off-site visitation at hospitals, funeral homes, etc.
- Participate, as required, in all areas of programming providing support and resources. Be available for scheduled hours during weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Develop chaplaincy services which initiate and maintain links to community resources.
- Participate as an active member of Centre of Hope Case Management teams
- Conduct Funerals and Memorial Services as required.
- Respond in chaplaincy role to emergencies and crises as requested and lead debriefing sessions when necessary.
- Provide weekly and monthly statistics as required
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications and Education requirements**:

**Education/Certifications**:

- Must be a High School Graduate
- Must be ordained and have Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or equivalent (an alternative level of education and experience in Pastoral Care/Chaplaincy may be considered)
- Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check is a requirement

**Experience**:

- At least 2 years’ experience in Pastoral Care and/or Chaplaincy preferably in a social services setting
- Experience dealing with mental health issues, substance use, addictions, death, dying, incarceration and family issues

DAYS and HOURS of work: As set by the Assistant Executive Director (80 hours bi-weekly)

Position will be required to attend events that will fall outside of regular working hours

Position is required ‘on site’ and is not able to work remotely

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $51,158.00-$63,948.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Pastoral Care/Chaplaincy: 2 years (required)
- Dealing with mental health issues, & family issues: 1 year (required)
