The Digital Marketing Specialist will support all digital campaign activities at CAAT Pension Plan. This position will take an audience-first approach to marketing campaigns and drill into performance through data and metrics. Reporting to the Team Lead, Digital Marketing, this role supports the internal infrastructure of the top of the funnel by creating opportunities for leads to enter the CAAT sales funnel. This includes building workflow automation, whitepapers, webinars, and supports digital campaign planning with Pension Solutions.
We’re looking for a collaborative team player in this hands-on role to drive excellence in our established demand generation engine. If implementing digital marketing campaigns and tracking them to sales opportunities is your thing, this role could be great for you.
**We are looking for someone with the following attributes**:
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Project and time management skills.
- Client focused approach, with a desire to use innovative digital marketing strategies and tactics to support the business objectives of the Pension Solutions team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; including content strategy/framework development, writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Diverse and broad range of communication skills - able to write both short, snappy communication and longer in-depth material, for both broad and specific audience groups.
- Skilled in Plain Language, with proven ability to convert complex information to content that is straightforward, easy to read, understand, and use.
**Qualifications**:
- Degree/diploma in communications, marketing or public relations, with a strong program focus on writing abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience in marketing campaigns and lead generation.
- Outstanding skills using systems such as MS Word, Excel, Google Analytics, Project Management, Marketing Automation (preferably MailChimp or HubSpot), and CRMs (preferably Salesforce).
- Experience with business development, including proven ability to understand and support the funnel.
- Public-sector and/or private-sector experience, with organizations that have a high-degree of communication engagement with numerous stakeholder groups (members/customers, employers, associations, unions, etc.).
- Solid experience in both external and internal communications across a variety of channels, including digital and social media platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills with mínimal need for oversight.
**Once here you will**:
- Support CAAT’s sales strategy and corresponding digital marketing plan to continue to help accelerate the growth of DBplus and CAAT Pension Plan overall.
- Assist in the development of compelling, end-to-end digital marketing campaigns, aligned with sales, to create demand for new business and engage renewed interest from existing clients.
- Develop a campaign calendar that supports the digital marketing strategy.
- Analyze the success of past campaigns and use data to make recommendations for improvement.
- Own campaign performance reporting (from a digital marketing perspective), including lead volume and conversion rates by channel to assess and optimize performance and update key stakeholders.
- Engage hands-on with our marketing automation platform (MailChimp) to set up, deploy, and analyze campaign activities.
- Provide content writing support as necessary.
- Attend all Pension Solutions and Marketing team meetings, acting as a key liaison between teams to share information, best practices, and marketing opportunities.
- Support the development material that is often very detailed, complex, and lengthy, whose content and accuracy pose extensive reputational risk to the organization. Frequently, the material is highly confidential in nature, where extreme prudence and thoroughness must be applied
