**Overview**
- As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will maintain operations of the pit on a day to day basis. Reporting to the Aggregates Production Lead Hand, the Heavy Equipment Operator will be required to inspect, maintain and operate a wheel loader, excavator, dozer and or 40-ton articulated haul trucks and will be required to assist with labour and servicing activities as a part of the crushing/pit crew.**Responsibilities**
- Ensure the safety of company personnel, the community, and environment.
- Responsible for completing daily equipment checklist.
- Responsible for maintaining and inspecting equipment to ensure good working order and document conditions found prior to shift operation.
- Monitor material production within specifications.
- Ensure consistent feed to maintain a quality product.
- Create an atmosphere of teamwork.
- Seek out and implement Best Practices.

**Specific Accountabilities**
- Communicate information with Crusher Foreman.
- Ensure safety goals are achieved.
- Work co-operatively with all personnel.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills and works well in a team environment.
