Coquitlam, Canada Kumon Math and Reading Centre - Coquitlam Westwood Full time

This is a **permanent, part-time** position that requires afternoon, evening and weekend shifts. This is **NOT** a summer job. You must have full availability on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday and be available to work the following hours:

- **Mon, Wed, Thurs 11:00 am - 7:00 pm**:

- **Sat 9:30 am - 2:30 pm**

**Education level**: High school graduate or higher (current students will not be considered)

**Skills**:

- Strong English skills (both verbal and written)
- Intermediate to strong math skills preferred
- Strong communication skills; must be polite, respectful and patient
- Ability to multi-task and identify priorities
- Ability to work at a fast pace, stressful environment on class days
- Must be organized
- Be able to manage 5 - 8 staff members at a time
- Previous Kumon experience (preferred but not required)
- Fluency in a second language (preferred but not required)
- Previous customer service or administrative experience (preferred but not required)

**Job duties include but are not limited to**:

- Planning and preparing students' work (must work closely with the instructor to learn the Kumon method and the various levels in the Kumon program)
- Get to know the Kumon program and be able to speak about the program
- Preparing month end reports
- Conducting parent orientations and placement tests for prospective new families
- Following up and completing registration of new students
- Tracking worksheet inventory and order supplies as needed
- Handling questions from parents and students
- Maintaining center cleanliness
- Ability to delegate tasks appropriately
- Ability to work independently without supervision

A criminal record check for working with vulnerability sector must be completed prior to the first day of work.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25-30 per week

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
