CHA Learning, the professional development division of HealthCare_CAN_, is looking for a dynamic Program Coordinator to join our passionate and high-performing learning team.

HealthCare_CAN_ provides voice and representation for Canada’s healthcare organizations and research institutes - as the professional development division, CHA Learning, uniquely develops and delivers online education to Canada’s healthcare professionals. With an existing reach of over 1500 learners a year, and growing, our programs are widely recognized for delivering exceptional value to the health care sector. In support of this, the Program Coordinator is a key link between students, employers, partners, and CHA Learning team members.

- **Employment type**: Full-Time 14-month term (with possibility of extension)

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Customer Relations**
- Acts as the “Director of First-and-Lasting Impressions” for prospective and current students and partners. You understand the value and importance of being friendly, informative and supportive while you answer questions about admissions and entry requirements. You understand that pursuing education is a big commitment and inspire people to take this important step;
- Supports prospective students and employers to compare and contrast program options, where applicable, confidently supporting decision-making and assessing fit;
- Counsels students and guides them through the program by addressing their questions and concerns and by connecting them with the appropriate person when necessary;
- Is responsive and knowledgeable about CHA Learning’s values, policies and procedures.

**Admissions**
- Focuses on recruitment and builds relationships with prospective students to successfully transition them into the program.

**Student Administration**
- Supports students during their program by answering questions, providing first-tier technical support, and ad hoc requests for letters, forms and information;
- Uses Student Information System data to regularly monitor, manage, and communicate student progress, status and grades;
- Implements student success strategies with an eye to student retention and to help students successfully complete their program;
- Works collaboratively with other team members to identify, follow up and communicate with high-risk students to promote retention and success;
- Collaborates with other members of the team on processes and projects that enhance the overall student success strategy;
- Supports alumni in their ongoing professional development plans;
- Collaborates with organizational partners to promote group/team training success.

**Program Support**
- Works with CHA Learning team to support ongoing program development, improvement and maintenance;
- Provides ongoing support to faculty including answering questions, triaging concerns and providing technical support;
- Expertly navigates the Learning Management and Student Information Systems to provide information as needed and to ensure courses and programs are set up in an effective, efficient and user-friendly manner;
- Provides support for faculty and advisory committee meetings (e.g., booking meetings, distributing agendas, minutes, technical support, providing updates as required, following up on actions);
- Acts as a liaison with accrediting bodies and our partner - Algonquin College - as CHA Learning meets their requirements and program objectives (e.g., producing annual reports, reporting of statistics).

**Qualifications**:
**Essential Skills/Competencies**
- University degree or college diploma required, preferably in a related field (e.g., health and life sciences, adult education, or business administration).
- Experience supporting training, learning and/or program development, offered via distance/online Learning Management System (e.g., Brightspace).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, ability to empathize, be diplomatic and build relationships with students/customers, and stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to time and task management; high degree of organization; creativity; critical thinking; confidence; and maturity.
- Strong interpersonal skills and desire to regularly collaborate, with proven performance in a team-based environment, including but not limited to cultural sensitivity, an ability to resolve conflicts and build consensus, and respect for all.
- Knowledge of financial procedures as well as office management practices and records management skills.
- Ability to work independently, productively, and collaboratively in a remote work environment but with willingness to meet in person as needed.
