**JOIN OUR TEAM**
We are looking for a customer-service oriented, organized, and efficient individual to provide reception at MOSAIC’s multi-service site at **200-7134 King George Blvd, Surrey**. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the **Receptionist** is responsible for providing effective client-centred reception services for MOSAIC programs and staff, as well as the effective and timely delivery of administrative and clerical assistance.
**POSITION FUNCTION**:
- Telephone and in-person reception duties, including screening, transferring calls, directing visitors, and maintaining the reception area
- Responding to inquiries about MOSAIC programs and services, assisting prospective clients in filling out forms and entering data into database(s) as needed
- Maintaining front-desk security by ensuring visitor sign-in/out processes, tracking key/door fob users, and instructing staff in the use of alarm system
- Providing support to site staff in booking appointments, meeting rooms, and couriers
- Completing word processing, spreadsheet, data entry, and presentation assignments
- Ordering site supplies and call for trade services (copier, plumber, locksmith, etc.) as needed
- Instructing clients, staff, practicum students, and volunteers in use of equipment
- Participating in occupational health and safety tasks, such as incident reporting, site inspections, first aid kit inventories, and mock evacuation drills
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Minimum 1 year of reception/customer service/office administration experience and/or appropriate combination of experience and training
- Knowledgeable in use of standard office equipment, multi-line telephone systems, MS Office, and databases
- English communication skills and conflict resolution skills an asset
- Multilingual language skills is an asset
- Organized, detail-oriented, and accurate with numbers
- Culturally sensitive, tactful, discrete, diplomatic, patient, flexible
- Able to multitask, set priorities, meet deadlines, problem solve, and be adaptable to the immediate needs of clients
- Prior work with immigrant populations and/or diverse cultural backgrounds an asset
- Sitting, standing, bending, and ability to lift 10 kg
- Multi-lingual is an asset
LOCATION:
MOSAIC Surrey Newcomers Centre located at #200-7134 King George Blvd., Surrey, BC
**HOURS**:
35 hrs per week
Monday to Friday
9am to 5pm
30 minute lunch and 30 minute flex time
**BENEFITS**:
A competitive benefits package is provided with contracts of at least 1 year in length and which offer a minimum of 17.5 hours of work per week.
