**Job Type**: Permanent Full-time

**Probation Wage**: $ 22.80 - $23.70

**Probation Completion Wage**: $ 24.26

**One Year Wage**: $ 25.54

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (or the “Act”) and the regulations; use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that Mott requires to be used or worn; report to the Supervisor the absence or defect in any equipment or protective device of which the worker is aware and which may endanger themselves or another worker; and report to the Supervisor any contravention of the Act or the regulations or the existence of any hazard of which the worker is aware
- Set-up saw effectively and optimize material use including use of off-cuts (off cuts must be used first when possible)
- Receive and offload raw material
- Inspect, verify dimensions and approve raw material for use
- Utilize appropriate helper when working with large material
- Prioritize work to be completed for different departments
- Saw parts to prints, sketches or instructions provided
- Count parts to verify required quantity as per prints
- Store parts on cart in a safe manner with correct prints
- Move cut material to the required area
- Inform Lead Hand(s) of any issues
- Organize product to ensure efficient throughput for subsequent operations
- Clean and maintain saw in good working order
- Tidy area and maintain good housekeeping
- Dump the scrap bin
- Sort wood as scrap or free wood
- Report any minor or major damages to the equipment
- Instruct and monitor helper to work safely and as per work instruction and quality system
- Follow safety requirements while driving forklift (including fastening your seat belt and wearing safety glasses)
- Perform daily safety inspections on forklifts and report as per procedure
- Follow quality procedures for first and last offs
- Maintain equipment and conduct PM as per schedule/or instructions
- Keep track of inventory and inform Lead Hand when material is needed
- Maximize production effectiveness and work flow through team work
- Perform other duties as required

**Skills & Experience**:

- Saw operation experience
- Nail gun experience
- Forklift license or ability to achieve Forklift license
- Ability to read blueprints and data sheets
- Must know how to use a tape measure
- Basic math skills including the ability to convert fractions to decimals
- Good organizational skills
- Physically fit for heavy lifting of >35 lbs
