**Operations Co-op Student**

This position will work from Abbotsford Operations Yard located at 31739 King Road.

**What you will do**:

- Assists with identification, inventory and condition assessment work on building equipment.
- Assists with preparing RFP documents.
- Complete audits on TSBC equipment.
- Create building operation resource files with building system information and maintenance references.
- Create building fire plans and on-site records.
- Assists with analysis and optimization of road maintenance routes.
- Assists with data collections and benchmarking of fleet operation.
- Assists with building capital projects as required.
- Assists with collecting and analyzing and equipment hours through SAP.
- Assist with the development of safety procedures and programs.

**Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience**:

- Currently enrolled in a cooperative education program at a post-secondary institution and returning to school full-time in the subsequent academic year.
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution in the area of Engineering or a related field.
- Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare a variety of correspondence.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to deal tactfully and speak effectively with the public.
- Self-motivated with the ability to make good decisions regarding priorities in a fast paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
- Experience and education in building operation, Fleet operation and roads maintenance and construction would be an asset.
- Experience working with the public is an asset.
