**About the role - Assistant front office manager**

Duties include:

- Financial responsibility - work with Front Office Manager to control both labour and department expenses.
- Takes the lead on a segment of the department to own and grow skills (Front Office or Guest Services).
- Responsibility for specific areas of focus while being knowledgeable on all areas and supporting follow leaders - working to drive their area forward with creative plans and incentives.
- Lead on maintaining guest room inventory, scheduling and resolving guest complaints.
- Coach and counsel a team of Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and front-line colleagues in their growth and support while working to ensure the hotel reflects Hyatt service standards.
- Operates as a Manager on Duty.

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum of 2-5 years of front desk experience as a supervisor or manager is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and hospitality software.
- A proven track record of being able to lead a team and multitask.
- Flexibility and a willingness to work beyond scheduled hours, including on weekends.
- Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
- An ability to identify areas in need of change or improvement to offer guests an excellent hotel experience.
- Understanding of and compliance with hotel policies and regulations and communicating these clearly to the staff.
- Reporting on daily operations in a timely manner.
