**Salary**:$25.39 - $26.39/ hour**

**Lassonde Beverages Canada Plant**

We are a small unionized plant of 150 employees that work together as a team to achieve great success.

**Summary**:
We are looking for a temporary Quality Control Technician who will report to our Quality Assurance Director. The Quality Technician is responsible for monitoring and maintaining key indicators of product quality and safety through inspection, testing and communication. The position ensures the operations and procedures on the plant floor meet and align with corporate quality policy.

**Key Activities**:

- Take samples of products at various stages of processing.
- Perform microbiological analysis, routine tests and inspecting raw materials (i.e., concentrates from drums and tankers).
- Examine finished products and perform analyses before, during and after production (i.e. Brix, % acidity, pH, Vitamin C content, etc.).
- Inspect production areas and lines (temperature, cleanliness, labels, etc.).
- Advise supervisor of raw material of product deficiencies and recommend modifications.
- Ensure products/raw materials that cannot be shipped and/or used for various reasons are put on hold.
- Maintain line samples and concentrate samples.
- Assist in calculation of yield reports.
- Assist in product development.
- Assist in resolution of customer complaints relating to quality assurance.
- Order supplies and materials for the lab, as well as certain personal protective equipment for employees.
- Ensure all documentation is completed relating to all testing procedures and analyses.
- Print batching reports and complete manufacturing information.
- Ensure cleanliness of lab at all times.
- Ensure adherence to formulations.

**Education & experience required**:

- Post-secondary education preferably in Food Science.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position.

**Competencies**:

- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong mathematical aptitude.
- Good organizational skills.
