**Major Responsibilities**:
Completes assigned rooms during shift, including check outs and stay overs. Reports any delays in completing assigned rooms as soon as aware.
- Vacuuming carpets and sweeping floors
- Washing / steaming floors
- Dusting, brushing, polishing and vacuuming furniture
- Dusting and cleaning room decorations, appliances and structural surfaces (e.g. wall fixtures, window sills, vents)
- Changing linen and making beds, checking for damaged or stained linen
- Cleaning showers, tubs, sinks and bathroom items
- Ensures proper guest supplies, amenities, and advertising are in the rooms.
- Ensures the security of keys and guest information, as well as individual safety while cleaning.
- Ensures guest requests are met by either fulfilling the request or reporting it to a leader.
- Consistently ensures room cleanliness meets Hilton standards
**Guest Service & Community Culture**
- Providing information to guests about hotel services, facilities and other amenities
- Providing information to guests about local attractions / services
- Preparing rooms for guest arrival and responding to special guest requests (i.e. VIP packages, pet amenities, cleaning carpet stains, etc).
- Welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards; thanking guests with genuine appreciation
- Listening and responding to guest requests or concerns and taking action until completion.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position
- Performs any other duties as required or deemed necessary to provide superior service and teamwork
- Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed
- Attends work on time as scheduled
- Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other associates to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment
- Projects a favorable image of the Hotel to the public

**Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required**:
- **Must be extremely fit **as the position is very physical
- Energetic and flexible, able to work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated, honest, creative, capable of working in a team environment
**Experience, Training and Education (demonstrating requirements)**:
- Minimum one year hotel cleaning experience is preferred.
- Previous customer service experience is an asset
- WHMIS training
