Electronics Assembler

CareHawk manufactures life safety systems for education, healthcare, corrections and other vertical markets. Our systems are primarily sold in North America through a group of independent authorized resellers. This individual should be able to multi-task and adjust quickly to a high paced teamwork environment. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to applicable safety results is a condition of employment.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- assembling mechanical hardware onto PCB assemblies
- de-paneling and soldering PCB’s
- prepping hardware and electronic components including the use of a board cleaner
- assembling circuit boards using through hole, hand soldering
- interpreting assembly instructions
- verification of all assembly / work order documentation
- general housekeeping including the proper disposal of cleaning supplies and chemicals (i.e. solder, solder paste, flux etc.)
Qualifications:
- experience with thru hole and hand soldering.
- knowledge of ESD handling procedures an asset
- should demonstrate the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, H&S procedures, manufacturing procedures, and government
regulations
- must be able to communicate effectively through verbal and/or written methods with peers and management
- must be able to solve practical problems, have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written or oral form
- able to sit for long periods of time
- vision requirements include close vision using a microscope, colour vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to
adjust focus
Position starts immediately. Working hours are Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm. This position is performed in a traditional manufacturing environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
