**SUMMARY**:
To provide guidance and leadership under the direction of the security manager to security officers on their shift ensuring the security of casino assets, the casino facilities, employees, volunteer workers and guests. Security supervisors will ensure that all members of the security team consistently, diplomatically, and professionally maintain good relations with patrons, as well as fellow staff and see to that all duties are successfully accomplished in accordance with Alberta Gaming and Liquor commissions terms and conditions, operating guidelines, and century casino policy and procedures. Security supervisors will act in compliance with local, provincial, and federal laws and also act in compliance with Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission laws and regulations.

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**
Supervises a team of Security Guards during a shift. Provides guidance, mentoring and coaching to team members.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
Demonstrated experience providing and enforcing security services. Demonstrated effective and diplomatic customer service and communication skills, which includes contacts with employees, customers, and experience handling difficult customer relations. Demonstrates experience in crowd control.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
Graduation from High School or equivalent. Two (2) or more years of recent and related experience in security enforcement is desirable. Law enforcement courses/experience or security background are an asset.

**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**
Must have a valid and current Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission Gaming License. Must maintain current Deal Us In phase #1 and phase #2, ProTect, and ProServe training cards,

Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Standard first aid CPR/ AED Level C, WHMIS 2015, and must be familiar with FINTRAC. Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.

**LANGUAGE SKILLS**
Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.

**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS**
Basic Math skills are required.

**REASONING ABILITY**
Takes actions, makes recommendations, beyond the scope of essential duties, which may positively or negatively impact other departments.

**OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
Knowledge of Century Casino, FINTRAC and AGLC’s policies and procedures and how they pertain to security. Must have a general knowledge of applicable legislation as it pertains to the operation of a Casino Resort facility. Must have and maintain professional radio communication when communicating over the radio. Knowledge of a phonetic alphabet beneficial.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**

**MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED**
Various security related equipment, including digital cameras, portable two way radios, emergency first aid equipment, fire control panel and surveillance equipment. General office equipment is also used, including computers, fax machines, photocopiers, staplers and tape.
