E-commerce Business Development Specialist

**Job Overview**
Under the general direction of the E-commerce Lead, the E-Commerce business development specialist is responsible for acquiring and on-boarding new E-Commerce accounts, hunting new leads and assists in positioning products across the web. This person is a trail blazer and is E-commerce savvy. This person will work with an ambitious and fast-moving new sales channel.
**You will do**:
- Responsible for the generation and on-boarding of all (non-brick & mortar) E-Commerce accounts/customers in both the US and Canada
- Assists in ensuring the success of our product offerings by expanding our assortments strategically across E-Commerce platforms.
- Works with teams internally to establish successful go-to-market strategies.
- Research and present lead lists. Must be organized in presentation, strategy, and reporting.
- Helps increase revenue and profit growth with each E-Commerce account.
- Generates reports to compare and analyze the sales of each online account as required.
- Monitors performance against the budget and tracks product segments
- Collaborates with the product category managers and marketing team to introduce new products.
- Knowledgeable of the competitive landscape, to help position Danby with a larger market share and drive growth.
- Manage competitive, market, and best practices intelligence.
- Has the ability to articulate our value proposition.
- Has the ability to gather feedback and suggest improvements to increase sales.
- Responsible for assisting in the generation of new ideas to address online customer needs.
- Examines retail and competitive environment to assist in the generation of new ideas.
**You will have**:
- A University degree in Business is required plus three to five years related experience in servicing key accounts. Thorough knowledge of the appliance industry and retail channels is highly recommended.
- Must be able to demonstrate strong business skills related to negotiating, budgeting, analyzing sales figures, presenting, and selling products to clients.
- Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of E-Commerce 1st party, 3rd party (marketplaces) required.
Working Conditions:
The E-Commerce Business Development Specialist works in a hybrid-remote setting, working onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays. The individual spends most of his/her time in a seated position. Data entry is required of the individual. Travel in Canada and the U.S. is required. The individual in this position may be expected to travel frequently throughout the year.
