**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Work from the office and one or multiple construction sites in the Ottawa region
- Coordinate with our Health & Safety Consultants to ensure that the Company’s health & safety policies are in compliance with the applicable health & safety authorities in appropriate jurisdictions (MOL, OHSA, etc.)
- Maintain and update the health and safety orientation program
- Maintain and update the company’s health and safety program and policies with the support of our Health & Safety Consultants
- Responsible for tracking safety infractions and reporting to management on trends
- Responsible for tracking safety incidents and reporting to management when there are modified work / lost time cases
- Manage modified work and return to work cases with the health and safety manager
- Maintain safety training certifications of all employees
- Identify safety training needs and coordinate training
- Carry out audits and follow-ups of site inspection documentation
- Organize, take minutes and lead health & safety meetings and sit on the Joint Health & Safety Committee
- Organize, take minutes and lead quarterly meetings with management
- Organize and take minutes for the annual health and safety meeting for all employees
- Maintain and organize the health and safety inventory at the office and on site (safety boards, fire extinguishers, fist aid kits, trauma kits, etc.)
- Responsible for the preparation of all health & safety inventory and necessary documentation for the start of new projects
- Work closely with the company’s Health & Safety Representative (on-site) and Health & Safety Consultants
- Manage employee safety reward programs (safety bonus, Work Safely Reap the Rewards, etc.)
- Responsible for all subcontractor contractual safety documents and certifications
- Manage subcontractor safety documentation audits
- Responsible for working with our Health & Safety Consultants on becoming COR certified
- Perform any other related duties

**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (French/English, bilingualism is a must)
- More than two (2) year of relevant professional experience in a Health & Safety position (construction)
- Valid Certified Worker Certification is an asset
- First Aid Certification - Standard and must be kept valid
- Have, or able to obtain a Reliability security clearance
- Must have a valid drivers licence
- Excellent knowledge of computer systems, or an eagerness to learn, including: Office Suite, G Suite, Traqspera, Salus Pro
- General computer skills and hardware
- Self motivated, detail-oriented team player
- Ability to multitask with mínimal guidance to meet scheduled delivery dates
- Proficient organizational and time management skills
- Autonomy, initiative and a sense of responsibility
Competitive salary according to a salary scale. (based on years of experience)
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
