We are looking for a Quality Technician for a one (1) year contract.

- Quality Assurance/Quality Control - A strong background in quality assurance and quality control procedures, including being aware of quality documentation requirements, industry standards, inspection, and testing protocols.
- Attention to detail - Ability to inspect packaging to ensure it meets the specifications for the shape, size, and quality to achieve our customers’ expectation and satisfaction.
- Communication skills - Ability to communicate and collaborate with all departments to ensure the production processes run smoothly.
- Critical thinking - Resolves challenges that may arise by being open-minded and thinking in an organized and rational matter.
- Analytical skills - Works well with the team to identify problems by assessing relevant facts to find a solution.

**What you will do as a Quality Technician**:

- Perform quality testing, in-process and final inspections of finished products to ensure they conform to industry and company standards.
- Review supplier COAs, perform quality testing and inspection of raw materials as required.
- Coordinate containment/sorting activities and follow-up to ensure Quarantined products are dispositioned in a timely manner.
- Create Quality Alerts and review NCRs and Customer Complaints with the Production team.
- Assist with internal & third-party quality/food safety audits (ISO 9001:2015, FSSC 22000)
- Coordinate with the Production departments to investigate internal NCRs, determine root cause and identify CAPA
- Monitor status report progress of corrective actions, prepare reports and presentations.
- Assist the Quality Manager in managing Customer complaints and monitoring the effectiveness of implemented CAPA.
- Participate in trials and test runs, validate new products, and conduct process capability studies.
- Review process control charts (SPC), collect and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Review and update QMS documentation (SOP, WI, Standards), Process FMEA, Inspection and Test Plans, Control Plans, Process Flow Charts and Running Line Standards.
- Train production employees on QMS documentation, Customer, and Industry requirements
- Any other duties assigned by the Quality Manager.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or Degree in Quality Assurance, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, or related field of study.
- 1- 3 years of experience in Plastics, Flexible Packaging or Food Manufacturing.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, HACCP/GMP/Food Safety Standards
- Basic understanding of Lean Six Sigma and Quality Tolls
