Position type: Part-Time (contract), up to 6.5 hours per week (Sunday)

Compensation: $20.50-$23 and 4% vacation pay

SEC maintains its head office in Newmarket and provides public service signature expertise for immigrants, newcomers, early learning and development, Family Justice Service, Career and Labour market integration through programs such as Supervised Access, EarlyOn Child & Family Centres, Welcome Centre for Immigrant Services-Newmarket and several Before & After School and Licensed Childcare Programs.

As a **Team Lead** for the York Region Supervised Parenting Time Program you will oversee the operations of the regional Supervised Parenting Time Program service sites ensuring that all relevant policies and practices are adhered to. You will be expected to lead changes and make recommendations for improvement for enhancement of services. You will be expected to provide support, coaching and skill development with the focus on creating a high functioning staff team. You will display effective professional interactions with clients through orientations, visitations, and exchanges. You will work to engage staff, students and volunteers. You will demonstrate leadership in the promotion of the organization’s values, principals and objectives while ensuring the environment provides a safe and positive experience for the children and families.

**Key Job Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the operations at service sites to ensure full compliance of all SEC policies and procedures, and MCCSS funded Supervised Parenting Time program standards.
- Responsible for the facilitation and documentation of all visits and exchanges in a safe, neutral, and child friendly environment
- Nurtures and forms meaningful internal and external working relationships and partnerships
- Analysis of broad problems generally of an operating or specializing nature requiring the development of solutions
- Maintenance of service sites, respond to service inquires, provide general information, and manage contact as appropriate to facilitate established service schedules
- Assign tasks to team members to ensure effective and efficient service delivery
- Coach team members to develop advanced conflict resolutions and decision-making skills
- Process services in ISAID database system, upload documents, and complete tasks assigned by Program coordinator
- Maintain and adhere to standards of confidentiality, non-harassment and other Policies

**Requirements**:

- Degree in human service or related field and/or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in social services or related field
- Must have exceptional communication (oral and written) skills with ability to resolve conflict
- Strong leadership abilities to perform in a manner that align with the organizational Vision, Mission and Values
- Highly organized, self-motivated, self-directed
- Supervisory skills to model and promote SEC values of performance excellence
- Understanding of domestic violence and its impact of families
- Have experience with family dynamics and the ability to be culturally-sensitive
- Advanced computer skills and strong administrative skills
- Knowledge of family law and Child and Family Service Act is an asset
- Valid driver’s license an access to reliable transportation
- Ability to speak multiple language is considered an asset
- Available and committed to attend required training and/or meeting at various affiliated sites

**Other**
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate (minimum level A)
- Current Vulnerable Sector Screen
- Valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation to various sites across York Region
- Travel is required between sites as needed.
- Physically able to complete packing, lifting, walking and other physical demands required to set up physical space and to assist children and visiting families
- Lengthy periods of sitting, writing and typing
