**Job Summary**

The Children's Program Faciltator will be responsible for designing, planning, facilitating and implementing learning activities and events for children. They will work under the supervision of the Children's Program Coordinator to create engaging and educational programs for children. The role of a Children's Programme Facilitator will be to create engaging and enriching experiences for children that promote learning, socialization, and personal growth. The position will require creativity, organization, and a deep understanding of child development and education.

**Responsibilities**
- Support in developing, implementing and managing a wide range of programs that meet participants’ physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs.
- Support in developing and implementing programs for children that are age-appropriate and promote learning and development.
- Create schedules and timelines for programs and events, coordinating with other staff and volunteers to ensure smooth execution.
- Provide support and direction to program assistants, counsellors, placement students, and volunteers.
- Prepare and manage budgets for events.
- Support in enhancing and modifying programs/activities/services as applicable by assessing the community, and participants’ needs and interests.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and events, and make changes as necessary to improve outcomes.
- Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate special events and day trips.
- Maintain accurate records of program attendance, participant feedback, and other relevant data.
- Communicate with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders to promote programs and events and build relationships.
- Prepare promotional materials, permission forms, and weekly parents newsletter.
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation, and implementation of children’s programming. Supervise and maintain a safe learning environment. -Any other duties as assigned.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Lived experiences similar to the racialized and marginalized youth that we serve
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in Program Coordination, or similar field
- Able to provide excellent service delivery
- Must be results-oriented, able to motivate and inspire self and others
- Well-developed interpersonal, and relationship-building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff and volunteers
- Excellent written communication skills
- Experience and sensitivity in dealing with members of different cultural and racial backgrounds, including visible and non-visible dimensions of diversity
- Flexibility regarding assigned work hours and location

**Education**:

- Bachelor's degree in education, child development, social work or related field.
- Knowledge of child development and education principles.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
