**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lives Forbes Bros. value of WE WORK SAFE & never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every day
- Performing pre-operational inspection and calculate crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting
- Operate the crane in a safe and appropriate manner
- Ensure lifts are to engineered lift plans standards and requirements
- Lifting tower components as per instruction
- Ensure rigging is maintained and certified
- Complete lift calculations in an accurate and timely manner
- Haul and move materials on site as required
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
- Document regular maintenance checks to maintain adequate records of equipment performance
- Report any damages or repair needs to the appropriate parties
- Abide by all local, provincial, and federal regulations, as well as all company safety procedures
- Effectively communicate with ground crews using hand signals and voice communication
- Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned
**What We Are Looking For**:
- Minimum two (2) years' experience operating the respective site of crane required, preference given to those with powerline and transmission lattice experience
- Journeyperson Red Seal Crane Certificate is required
- Possess a valid Class 1 Drivers license and clean driver's abstract
- Able and willing to travel to required remote project sites and work extended periods of time and overtime and/or weekend hours as needed
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team member while equally motivated working independently
