**Who we are**:
We are a companion animal veterinary hospital. We strive to maintain a relaxed, friendly, compassionate environment for both clients and support team members.

**Where we are located**:
We are located on a pretty rural property, away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still an easy drive from Smiths Falls, Perth, Carleton Place, Kemptville and Ottawa.

We emphasize preventative care and maintaining a high quality of life for our patients. We believe that client education is essential to the practice of veterinary medicine. At our practice, our clientele trusts us and are comfortable about asking questions about their pet and the recommended veterinary care plan.

**Work/Life Balance**

We love that we help pets on a daily basis but we know that everyone needs a work/life balance. **No shift work, no split shifts and no weekend work. **We even close the hospital over Christmas to allow everyone to spend time with their families and enjoy the holidays.

**Duties**

Assist the veterinarian and other support staff. This will involve reception, restraint of pets, providing assistance in examinations, performing laboratory work, providing assistance during surgery and medical procedures, office duties and cleaning.

**Education**

RVT preferred but will consider VT or VA or someone with experience in all areas of a veterinary clinical veterinary setting. Must be comfortable restraining/lifting animals. Absolutely essential is a love of animals, compassion for the human family members, a willingness to learn, ability to work independently and to function as a veterinary support team member. Ability to triage patients by phone and in exam room. Ability to perform a comprehensive physical exam, make call backs and communicate comfortably and professionally with clients.

Experience with the veterinary software Impromed Infinity and Pet Desk would be beneficial.

**COVID**

Must be double vaccinated against COVID.

Be vaccinated/or be willing for be vaccinated against rabies, have a rabies titre checked yearly or as advised by their doctor.

**Wage/Schedule**

We offer a competitive wage, and a great schedule. Position requires 20-44 hrs per week. We encourage and support continuing education.

**Job Types**: Full-time or Part-time

**Salary**: $16.00-$25.00 per hour based on experience and ability

COVID-19 considerations:
All employees are double vaccinated, the number of clients in the building is limited. Depending on current government guidelines staff and clients may have to wear a mask. Hand sanitizer is used frequently. Enhanced cleaning procedures. Telemedicine and drop-off appointments are available.

Hours: 20 - 40 per week,

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 24-40 per week

**Salary**: $16.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

All clients must wear a mask, limited number of clients in the building, enhanced cleaning procedures.
