Kornerstone Masonry (2007) Ltd. was founded in 2004. The two Owners have over 60 years together of experience in the masonry industry. Kornerstone has approximately
18 to 30 employees at various times of the year. Our Red Seal Bricklayers are union members of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local #1 of Manitoba. Our employees work all over the city or out of town, including northern locations.
Kornerstone is subcontracted by many of the building contractors in or near Winnipeg.
Kornerstone is looking for well-organized Office Bookkeeper to handle day to day and month to month operations in a timely manner. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for payroll, accounts payable and receivable, union remittance along with many other administrative duties. The Bookkeeper is responsible to ensure smooth running of the office and provides administrative assistance to the Owners, staff and clients.
We are looking for an energetic professional who has experience with meeting multiple timelines and due dates, effective organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Previous experience of a front office administer is a must.
**Responsibilities**
Weekly payroll
Accounts receivable
Accounts payables
Knowledge with Sage Simply Accounting (preferable) or Quick books
Monthly union remittance
Monthly source deductions, bank balancing, GST remittance
Record of Employment submission (ROE’s)
Errands - Picking up and dropping off mail, deposits to the bank, purchasing office supplies
Purchasing safety supplies for employees and ensuring safety supplies are re filled in safety job site boxes
Keep office and files clean and organized
Weekly tiding of office - Sweep floors and take out garbage and recycling
Setup new employees in system
Keep safety manual updated
**Requirements**:
Previous experience of Bookkeeping and Office Administrator (Payroll, A/P, A/R,
Source deductions, GST remittance)
3 Years knowledge with Sage Simply Accounting (preferable) or Quick books
Valid driver's license and vehicle
Strong organizational and planning skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with owners, employees and customers
Honest, hardworking and friendly
