**Position Summary**:
This role is responsible for the successful development, delivery, marketing and improvement of programs and services that support transportation. This includes the introduction of innovations and the implementation of advancements to ensure the programs and services match the needs of the Seneca community.

The incumbent has the responsibility to provide guidance and supervision over Shuttle Buses, Carpooling, Electric Vehicles, micro-mobility (bicycles, e-bikes, scooters and similar), parking demand management, Public transit integration, CVOR, and fleet maintenance services.

The incumbent also establishes and develops operational procedures to ensure the greatest impact of departmental operations to reduce Seneca’s carbon footprint, improve Seneca’s modal mix and help manage parking demand.

This is currently a Hybrid role. The incumbent is anticipated to work anywhere between 60-70% per week onsite with the flexibility to work remotely. This might change depending on operational needs. It is based at the Newnham campus with occasional travel to support all main campuses.

**Responsibilities**:
**Team Leadership**
- Develops Seneca’s networks and proactively scans for best practices in sustainability and fleet management. It aims to keep ahead of industry trends and technologies.
- Works closely with Deans, Chairs, Directors, and other stakeholders to align services with Seneca’s strategic plan and to enhance operations and service delivery to meet stakeholder requirements.
- Drafts communications for new transportation initiatives and service changes. Works collaboratively with marketing to communicate effectively and reach the Seneca community.
- Reviews service workflows and makes recommendations for technological and process enhancements that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.
- Lead and demonstrate behaviors consistent with Seneca values.
- The incumbent is responsible for providing leadership and supervision, including recruiting, orientation and training, mentoring/coaching, goal-setting/workflow management, scheduling, and attendance management.
- Educates and promotes safe consistent work practices that comply with government legislation, regulatory requirements, and Seneca policies and procedures.

**Transportation, Fleet, and Parking Demand Management**
- Monitors parking, shuttle patterns, and occupancy at all campuses to ensure Seneca is responsibly managing our parking inventory.
- Develops initiatives and procedures for all users to promote safe commuting patterns to promote sustainability and reduce parking demand. Supervises parking staff to ensure communication and schedule are appropriate to support these initiatives
- Adjusts communications and initiative operations to ensure services are delivered efficiently, effectively, and to the highest standards.
- Takes appropriate action when situations arise to ensure compliance with regulations and Seneca policies and procedures. Ensures issues are reported and dealt with appropriately in the best interests of Seneca.
- Fosters a safe, respectful, supportive, and participative work environment; ensures compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in the areas of: health & safety, human rights, equity, diversity, accessibility as well as complying with Collective Agreements and Administrative Terms & Conditions of Employment.
- Maintains a current, broad base of knowledge, skills, and abilities covering diverse areas that require extensive reading and research.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**
- Minimum completed 4-year degree or equivalent in Business, Green Business, Logistics, or a related field.

**Experience**
- Minimum 2 years experience in a transportation-related field (eg. Fleet management, Transportation demand management, Parking)
- Experience or exposure to transportation sustainability initiatives/ projects is preferred.
- Experience in designing and coordinating communications campaigns is an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience including:

- Supervising a team in a front-line environment.
- Managing client relationships including decision-making and conflict resolution with internal and external customers.

**Skills**
- Implementing change within a large organization.
- Thorough understanding of available resources for projects and applicable stakeholder groups.
- Proficient user of MS Office Suite and other transportation/ fleet/ parking software.
- Experience or familiarity with Electric vehicle charging systems is an asset.
