**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Western Forest Products’ Stillwater Forest Operations is seeking an individual to fill the position of **Contract Supervisor** based in Powell River, BC.

**_ This is a term, contract position, available immediately. Length of term expected until end of 2024, with further extensions commensurate on Stillwater operating plans._**

The Contract Supervisor is a key member of the Stillwater Production Team, responsible for delivering overall production targets through the efficient management of the road construction and maintenance, harvest, and log sorting processes.

You will provide supervision and coordination of assigned tasks, phases or projects in road construction, road maintenance, harvest or sorting phases and ensure adherence to safety, environmental, quality, value and productivity standards and goals. The Contract Supervisor is dedicated to sound business practices and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Education and Experience**
- 5+ years’ experience in the forest industry preferred, open to new graduates who have worked multiple previous co-op terms;
- Experience in road construction and logging practices preferred;
- Experience in supervision and project management preferred; and,
- Registration with the ABCFP would be considered an asset.

**Skills, Knowledge and Required Competencies**
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office products;
- Knowledge of Government Regulations as they relate to Forest Management;
- Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety programs and regulations;
- Ability to multitask;
- Strong leadership abilities;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain credibility; and,
- Excellent problem solving skills to find solutions to complex problems.
