Reporting to the Administrative Director, this role interacts with various departments to ensure that we are creating a positive and inclusive environment. **Key Responsibilities**:
- Support full life cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and completing background and reference checks
- Onboard new employees and process all employment-related transactional documentation including benefit enrollment
- Promote and oversee health and safety requirements to ensure compliance
- Looks for creative ways to keep employees engaged through rewards, recognition, and incentives
- Process payroll for salaried and commission employees using QuickBooks Online
- Assist with the development of training and development programs
- Support the performance management process, including goal setting, mid-year and year-end evaluations, and performance improvement plans
- Ensure policies and processes are kept up to date (compliant); prepare HR related memos/communications and serve as a point person for HR related questions
- Support HR projects and initiatives as needed
**Requirements**:
- Proven 3-years of human resources experience with a post-secondary degree/diploma
- Advanced Level in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Clear and professional communication both written and verbal, at multiple levels and with diverse internal and external audiences
- Ability to handle highly confidential information
- Ability to handle administrative details independently, while exercising good judgment in keeping team members adequately informed
- Excellent organizational skills
- Experience using Zoho People and Zoho Recruit or related systems
- Prior experience recruiting; a technical-based recruiter would be considered an asset
