Recreation Therapy Aide

**Your Opportunity**:
Your opportunity is in Continuing Care at the Valleyview Health Centre. You will assist with the implementation of basic individual or group treatment programs as directed by the supervising Recreation Therapist or Recreation Therapy Assistant in accordance with resident or client care plans. You have a strong interest in activities, and enjoy creative hobbies and sharing those interests with seniors. You will collaborate closely with the Health Care team, including trained assistants, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Nursing to provide a comprehensive service for clients. You enjoy working with people, can relate to clients and families in a caring manner with respect and dignity, and work effectively as part of a team. We have a supportive multi-disciplinary team and a very strong focus on work life balance. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
