**Purpose**:

- Assist day to day functions of the office.
- Ensure that the patients are well served.
- Ensure continuity.
- Liaise with patients, coworkers, and physicians.
- Assist with administrative aspects to make the office operation more efficient.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Assist telephone triage
- Assist with the booking of appointments
- Assist with scheduling-minimizing patient waiting/maximize physician’s schedule
- Charting, Recordkeeping
- Follow established procedures and protocols
- Familiarize with the present computer system (Electronic Medical Record)
- Assist with Covid-19 screening
- Assist with clinic sanitization between patients
- Assist with directing patients
- Assist with new patient intake

**Minor Responsibilities**:

- Maintain professional image
- Communicating with pharmacies, consultants
- Assist in ensuring office is correctly maintained
- Chaperone sensitive exams
- Keep exam rooms tidy and stocked
- Room patients when required
- Label specimens and requisitions and send to the lab
- Order requisition sheets, swab, urine sample kits, etc.
- Distribute medical and office supplies

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
This position consists of 35 hours per week for a 16-week period of time as part of the Canada Summer Jobs initiative.

To be eligible under the Canada Summer Jobs initiative, youth must:

- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment**; and,
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

Other qualifications:

- Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work well independently
- Ability and desire to work within an interdisciplinary team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Bilingualism (fluent in French and English-written and spoken) is an asset
