Yard Associates help the customers to fully understand their needs and assist in selecting the right products for their requirements. As knowledgeable sales professionals, Yard associates can make recommendations which solve customers' problems and enhance their shopping experience

- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Outstanding customer service and strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop comprehensive product knowledge
- Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and any other material handling equipment
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, fast paced and dynamic workplace
- Ability to read invoices and product return paperwork
- Provide superior customer service - this includes greeting customers, providing information, completing sales, and arranging deliveries
- Maintain store standards - Inventory, Replenishment and Merchandising
- Learn about new products and attending department specific training when provided
- Work safely by following all safety standards.
- Prepare invoices, quotes, credit invoices and delivery invoices.
- Help store with the display of merchandising.
- Follow computerized operating system to keep inventory up to date in system if receiving new products or writing off the product through theft or damage.
