Technology and Innovation is comprised of three groups: Digital Analytics, Digital Systems, and Autonomy, Innovation & Strategy (also referred to as Enterprise Improvement Planning).

RACE is Teck’s Digital Transformation program. The Digital Analytics (DA) team is a key contributor to RACE, and acts as an enabler of innovation and digital transformation for the mining industry. Digital Analytics acts in support of Teck’s purpose and aims to scale sustainable impact to new customers.

This unique team of individuals is paving/innovating the future of mining, by creating and deploying digital solutions which leverage advanced analytics and artificial intelligence to diagnose, predict and prescribe improvements for mining operations and across the value chain, enhancing operational performance, safety, and sustainability.

Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Sales, the Manager, Marketing and Communications will play a crucial, hands-on role in developing and implementing marketing, brand and communication strategies that resonate with customers in the technology mining space. This position is responsible for crafting impactful campaigns that showcase our products' value, generate leads, and foster customer relationships.

This is a 6-to-12-month contract to start with possibility of extension.

**Responsibilities**:

- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- **Marketing Strategy Development and Execution**: Working with a cross functional marketing and communications team, the Marketing and Communications Manager will design, build and implement a multi-channel marketing strategy in line with the companies bold growth targets.
- **Brand and Messaging Development**: Define and maintain a consistent brand identity for DA and it’s products that aligns with Teck’s values and brand standards and speaks to the mining industry's ethos. Craft compelling messaging that persuasively communicates our products' benefits and distinctiveness across diverse channels.
- **Communications and Public Relations**: Develop and deliver medium and long-range communication strategies that build on Teck’s reputation as a market leader in modern mining practices. Including communication plans to introduce our products to the industry. Work closely with corporate affairs and investor relations to handle media relations, press releases, and thought leadership articles that position us as a mining solutions provider.
- **Marketing Collateral and Artifacts**: Using our internal capabilities and working with our creative agencies, lead the creation and oversight of marketing materials, including sales collateral, presentations, case studies, and whitepapers, showcasing our products' effectiveness and suitability.
- **Digital Marketing Strategy**: Devise and implement digital marketing campaigns across web and social media platforms to engage industry partners. Drive traffic and interactions through captivating content, social media management, and SEO optimization.
- **B2B Content Creation**: Collaborate closely with internal teams to generate insightful content that addresses the specific needs of prospective customers as they seek to simplify mining through technology

**Qualifications**:

- 8+ years’ experience as a hands-on, Senior-level Director of marketing and communications at a B2B SaaS company where you have successfully launched and marketed multiple products and solutions is a requirement
- Detailed understanding of brand development, content creation, messaging, and marketing strategy including collaboration of both internal and external agencies
- A track record of content creation. You have personally written, edited and been involved with persuasive content development
- Proficiency in digital marketing campaigns, encompassing social media, SEO, and web analytics.
- Demonstrated expertise in B2B content creation, lead generation and conversion, along with past tangible success metrics to back it up.
- Strong analytical approach, with experience in measuring, evaluating and reporting on campaign success.
- Previous experience in cross-functional collaboration and running cross-functional marketing teams.
- Experience bringing to bear marketing, brand and PR agency support.
- Outstanding project management and organizational capabilities.
- Creative problem-solver with proficiency introducing innovative concepts.
- Previous education in Digital Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
