Assistant Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Manager to join our team. As the Assistant Manager, you will support the Store Manager in ensuring our smooth day-to-day operations and maintaining excellent customer service. Your strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills will be instrumental in achieving our store's goals and providing a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service Excellence: Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers' needs are met, and inquiries are handled promptly and courteously.
*Sales Support: Assist the sales team in providing up to date information on merchandise, assisting with customer inquiries, and supporting sales staff as needed.
*Store Operations: Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and visual merchandising to maintain a welcoming and organized environment.
*Team Management: Collaborate with the store manager in hiring, training, and coaching store staff to ensure a knowledgeable and motivated team.
*Inventory Control: In cooperation with other departments, manage inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and coordinate replenishments to ensure optimal stock availability.
*Complaint Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional and empathetic manner.
*Promotional Activities: Support marketing initiatives and promotions to drive store traffic and increase sales.
*Reporting: Generate and submit regular reports on store performance, sales figures, and other relevant data to the store manager.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years previous retail experience is required, preferably in the furniture industry.
- Knowledge of furniture products, materials, and trends is an asset.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Leadership capabilities and experience in team management.
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent computer skills
**Salary**: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
