**Position Description**:
***
The Ophthalmic Assistant will perform duties as outlined in the Eye Clinic. The position includes assisting several ophthalmologists as well as independent testing of clients for various tests.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant Course
- Demonstrated experience and competence with the following equipment: Humphrey’s Automated Perimeter, Fluorescein Angiography, Potential Acuity Meter testing, Fundus Photography, Optical Coherence Tomography, Goldmann Visual Field Perimeter, Noncon Pachymetry
- Demonstrated ability to assist in minor procedures related to the Eye Clinic, instilling drops, removing patches
- Demonstrated knowledge in assisting physicians with vision, pressures, ocular mobility, history taking and lensometry, colour vision
- Demonstrated computer experience
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new equipment
