**OCCASIONAL COVERAGE AT SPECIALIZED CARE CENTRE (1020 McNicoll Avenue)**
The Toronto Grace Health Centre (TGHC) provides, specialized care to those individuals who require Complex Continuing Care, Post-Acute Care Rehabilitation, Transitional care and Palliative Care services. The care and services provided at TGHC help facilitate the patient flow through the health care system and ensures recovery to those individuals who may return to their homes or to Long Term Care (LTC) facilities in their communities. TGHC operates in 2 sites - the Main site (Church& Bloor St), Harbour Lights and a Specialized Care Centre (Victoria Park & Mc Nicoll). The Finance Department at the Salvation Army, Toronto Grace Health Centre is currently seeking a Temporary Full Time 12 Month Contract Central Supply and Receiving Aide (CSR). The CSR plays a critical role supporting the proper function of supply chain within the operates in 3 sites of the Hospital. Ensures stock and non-stock items are received, stored and delivered in a timely manner. We are looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented self-starter, who is solution focused and works collaboratively with various levels within the organization.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILTIES**
- Responsible for supporting the proper function of supply chain within the Hospital.
- Ensures stock and non-stock items are received, stored and delivered in a timely manner.
- Receives all deliveries.
- Verifies orders, files packing slips and delivers items to appropriate locations.
- Monitors and reports receiving discrepancies.
- Assists in cycle counts and restocks nursing department supplies according to schedule.
- Monitors materials management equipment to ensure repairs and maintenance is completed as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION**:
- High School Grade 12 diploma.
- Previous experience working in receiving, storage, and distribution of supplies.
- Knowledge of medical/surgical supplies and various equipment required.
- Demonstrated computer skills knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Previous experience with ORMED Materials management inventory system or an equivalent supply chain system in a medical facility would be an asset.
- Excellent customer service and high attention to detail required.
- Excellent time management, organizational skills and demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with mínimal supervision.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle and transport heavy supplies and equipment up to fifty (50) lbs. required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Excellent attendance record.
