The Council for Lifelong Learning provides learning opportunities for adults to enhance their personal, life, literacy, and employability skills.

The Program Manager is accountable for planning, organizing, and supervising adult learning programs. The Program Manager is employed by the Council of Lifelong Learning and must act in accordance with the policies, goals, and strategic directives established by the Council of Lifelong Learning.

**Reporting**:The Program Manager reports to the Executive Director

**Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following**:

- Act as an advocate and promote public understanding of the programs offered by the Council for Lifelong Learning
- Develop effective relationships with host partners and stakeholders. Ensure the Council for Lifelong Learning is meeting the needs of the community as well as collaborating with partners for any relevant presentations, and providing necessary information for learners
- Recruiting participants for programs
- Interviewing and counselling new and returning students on class selection and placement
- Booking needed space for all program sessions
- Ensure that Instructors and Facilitators have access to material and resources
- Tracking and reporting the budget(s), ensuring, in consultation with the Executive Director that budgets are expended according to plans and/or that revisions are completed as necessary
- Preparing and submitting all monthly, final, annual reports as well as evaluations to funders and Executive Director
- Collecting and ensuring that all relevant evaluations are completed by Facilitators and Instructors
- Attending any relevant professional development training as approved by the Executive Director
- Supervision including formative feedback and evaluations of Instructors and Facilitators
- Organizing meetings with Facilitators and Instructors to assist in planning and organizing classes or sessions
- Ensuring compliance with all policies and all relevant health and safety legislation, laws and regulations
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- A post-secondary diploma or degree and preferred
- Experience in working with adult learners
- Supervisory Experience
- A passion for lifelong learning
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational skills

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Flexible and versatile with the ability to work independently and take initiative
- Diplomacy and the ability to exercise independent judgment are essential
- Strong computer and keyboard skills with competency in Microsoft Office and Word.
- Demonstrated professional and courteous public relations skills.
- Able to work independently with limited supervision
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential information

**Working Conditions**

The Program Manager works in an office environment, working standard office hours but overtime and alternate hours may be required to meet deadlines and to attend events, training, meetings and so on in relations to the Council of Lifelong Learning business needs.

This is a permanent hourly position (35 hours week).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $27.00-$29.00 per hour
