**Salary Scale**:Class 7 - 84 101 $ à 112 133 $

**NATURE OF THE WORK**
The planning coordinator is responsible for monitoring the Plan québécois des infrastructures (PQI) as well as for monitoring the acquisition of lands for new constructions. In addition, you will also be required to:

- Identify the needs for added space and evaluate available options.
- Prepare a report of our anticipated needs regarding space for the MEQ.
- Share our anticipated needs regarding space with the municipalities of our territories and receive their infrastructure projections/plans, such as ministerial regulations.
- Prepare presentation documentation for the Council of Commissioners.
- Coordinate and identify sites of interest for new schools.
- Prepare project files for cities.
- Maintain communications with the cities identified for future sites of interest.
- Coordinate transfers of ownership.
- Coordinate building obsolescence studies and prepare documents, namely for the replacement or the major renovation of existing buildings.
- Ensure project managers’ supervision, according to the needs, for new construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects.
- Participate in the preparation of the Plan directeur and scheduling of the projects.

**REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field;
- Have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience;
- Have good communication, diplomacy and interpersonal skills;
- Be organized and have a good sense of priorities;
- Have very good negotiating skills;
- Have a good knowledge of French and English, spoken and written.
- Have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Be a member of a professional order such as OIQ or OAQ.
- Be autonomous, have initiative and have a good team spirit.
- Demonstrate good leadership capacity (experience in supervising staff considered an asset).
