You will have demonstrated teaching skills and knowledge of early learning theory, policy, curriculum, and practice, such as inclusive environments and practices in early childhood, and ethics of care. Additionally, you will have familiarity with Flight, Alberta’s Early Learning and Care Framework.

You will have a demonstrated commitment to promoting quality early childhood education and early learning practice and leadership, with knowledge and skills in course design and development to support the continuing development of the new BECCS degree.

You will hold a Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (i.e., Education, Human Ecology, Child and Youth Care, Pedagogy), and will demonstrate a primary commitment to undergraduate teaching, potential for an ongoing research program and a willingness to engage in service to the program, university and community. Direct experience working with children and families in early learning and childcare programs is an asset.

You will submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, teaching dossier (including recent teaching evaluations), statement of research interests and plan, and a sample of scholarly work.
