- As a Water Educator on the Industrial Monitoring team, you will be reporting to the Team Lead, Industrial Monitoring Group (IMG). In this role you will contribute to the protection of the environment, public health and City's wastewater treatment plants by supporting the Fats, Oil and Grease (FOG) Management and Valleyfield Compliance Monitoring Programs. Primary duties include:

- Engage with Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) customers and deliver exceptional educational materials on Wastewater Bylaw requirements and best practices document related to their businesses to promote volunteer compliance.
- Support IMG compliance inspectors to implement Valleyfield Compliance Monitoring Program through education-first approach to wastewater hauler permit holder's and establish a consistent level of communication with haulers.
- Assist with compliance data collection and analysis as input into the enhancement of the wastewater-related bylaw compliance program.
- Assist in development of ICI sector specific risk matrix based on compliance data and industry database.
- Provide support to build partnership with industry association and other participants to drive customers education.
- Development and planning of variety of presentations for internal and external clients.
- Other duties as assigned by the Team Lead IMG.

**Qualifications**
- A completed 2 year diploma in Environmental Science, Water and Wastewater Education, or a related field and at least 1 year of experience with customer interactions or a related experience.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalency) with no more than 6 demerits OR a Class 5 Graduated Driver's License (GDL) with no more than 4 demerits, and no current charges or suspension pending is required and the use of the personal vehicle.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required.
- Ability to obtain a City of Calgary operator's permit.
- Experience writing and presenting to a large audience through work experience as an educator, interpreter or equivalent position would an asset.
- Success in this position requires excellent communication skills, strong customer service focus with the ability to work with others and independently with mínimal direct supervision.
