The **Communications Specialist, Employer Communications **is integral to the success of the **Communications** team, and to CAAT’s guiding mission and growth strategy.

Reporting to the Manager, Employer Communications, the Communications Specialist will be responsible for creating content for a diverse and ever-expanding audience of employers. As part of a multi-functional team that operates in a fast-paced and changing environment, the incumbent will use their strong writing skills to tell CAAT’s story, engage employers and help them understand the Plan and its value to their organization and their employees. They will contribute to a broad range of communications, branding, and marketing initiatives in a variety of channels, from newsletters to websites to online portals.

**We are looking for someone with**:

- A University of College diploma is communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
- Three (3) or more years of written and oral communications experience.
- Excellent aptitude in written and spoken English communication and the ability ability to convert complex information to easy-to-understand content.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- An intermediate to advanced user of standard office software (Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat).
- A passion for creating engaging communications material, and the ability to think conceptually and creatively.
- Knowledge of the pension, finance, or benefits industry.
- A keen willingness to learn.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize, escalate and/or follow through on deliverables in accordance with deadlines.

**Once here you will**:

- Implement communications tactics that align with department, project, and organization-wide goals.
- Participate in the development of digital content, print products and online resources aimed at participating and onboarding employers.
- Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders across the organization to support project KPIs and organizational priorities.
- Provide ongoing communications, writing and design support to internal stakeholders as needed, so all public-facing communications are high quality and aligned with the CAAT Pension Plan brand.
- Align with and adhere to project plans to ensure timelines are met; innovate and propose solutions to project barriers as required.
- Help facilitate the timely and efficient delivery of accurate information to internal stakeholders and provide recommendations on communication approach and content.
- Create and update a variety of written content focused on improving the employer experience, including but not limited to: newsletter, promotional and long form content, digital content for websites and online portals, and templates that facilitate customization.
