***Position Overview**:
Plans, assigns and supervises the work of subordinates (Labor/Sweepers). Coordinate tasks related to facilities issues (e.g., hangar layouts, insurance claims, etc) and general plant maintenance. Maintain an ongoing Facilities Master Plan that plans maintenance and efficiency related upgrades for all facilities for at least a three-year window.
- The Foreman Maintenance will report to the IMP Aerospace and Defence location near the Halifax International Airport._

***What You Will Do**:

- Liaise with the Continuous Improvement Department regarding the implementation of facilities-related continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in company proposals when assigned.
- Supervise and provide technical/administrative direction to assigned personnel.
- Develop and monitor project budgets within overall Production Branch operational budget limitation.
- Exercise project management skills in the definition, planning, scheduling, implementation, and monitoring of assigned projects.
- Liaise with Facilities Manager to facilitate completion of assigned projects.
- Report progress on assigned projects
- Update applicable SPPs to reflect facility changes as appropriate.
- Ensures work is done in accordance with all applicable codes, orders and procedures.
- Ensures that a high standard of general maintenance practice is followed, and that the workplace is kept clean and organized, and all health and safety related issues are promptly identified to his superiors.
- Maintains a high standard of discipline and conduct within his group; councils individuals as required.
- Prepares performance appraisals.
- Identifies personnel training requirements and Implements Company training plans.
- Performs various clerical duties including timekeeping, report generation on timekeeping, etc.
- Acts as Alternate Foreman or Maintenance Manager in their absence.
- Other duties as assigned.

**What You Will Bring**:

- Bachelor’s Degree, Technologist certificate, or equivalent combination of skills and experience in the field of Production and/or Facilities/Property Management or Industrial Operations. Past Journeyman qualified in a trade with a good understanding of related trades.
- Experience managing direct reports in a production and/or maintenance operation required (preferably military). Experience in is a definite asset.
- The ability to work in a team environment working to achieve the operations goals. The applicant must be self-motivated, well organized with demonstrated problem solving abilities.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements.
- Project and operational management skills.
- Knowledge of aircraft depot level maintenance, repair and overhaul.
- Knowledge of operational budgetary constraints.
- Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC- Contract Security Program, Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
