JOB - FENCE FOREMAN

  • Full Time, 50 hours weekly
  • Work Location:
Halifax, NS

  • Wage is based on experience and qualifications
  • 80% local work, 20% travel

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates and supervises daily activities of a 12person crew.
  • Utilizes equipment to install fences.
  • Responsible to take a set of plans and build a fence to spec.
  • Represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
  • Continually inspects work site, surveying for potential hazards or safety concerns.
  • Responsible for crew safety. Establishes safe work environment that complies with the company safety program.
  • Observes assigned equipment to detect machinery malfunctions. Assures the proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Reviews and approves employee time reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires 2 yrs. of previous experience as a Fence Foreman or equivalent fence installation experience.
  • Experienced working in a role requiring installation of chain link fencing, razor wire and gates.
  • Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with management, fellow employees.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be physically fit & work outdoors during inclement weather.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and good driver's abstract. Having a Class 3E license would be an asset.
