Line Security Checkpoint Coordinator

As a STAS Line SCC your primary responsibility is to ensure that the operations are maintained in an efficient and consistent manner. This is accomplished through direction, guidance and supervision of the checkpoints, by employee relations, scheduling, and ensuring compliance of policies, procedures, and CATSA/Company requirements. This position actively works the screening line.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides direction, guidance, and control of the pre-board screening operation, ensuring compliance with CATSA and Transport Canada regulations.
- Prepares work schedules and provides staffing levels in accordance with airport traffic/CATSA requirements.
- Ensures adherence to established policies and procedures for Pre-board Screeners and Point Leaders.
- Provide training for staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Responds to client needs as required as well as maintaining a positive working relationship with Air Carriers, Airport Authority representatives, and other user groups.
- Resolve work-related problems, administers staff discipline as required, as well as handling union grievances. Requirements Job requirements:

- Several years' security experience or equivalent experience within an airport environment.
- Experience in a customer service environment with supervisory responsibilities.
- Extensive knowledge of Aeronautics Act and Aerodrome Security regulations.
- Screening Officers Fundamentals certification
- SCC designation preferred
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certificate
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong problem resolution skills
- Ability to work in a unionized environment
- Good working knowledge of computer programs including MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
- Bilingualism considered an asset.

- Be willing to undergo extensive security & reference checks
- Be 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma (or equivalent)
- Be legally entitled to work within Canada
