**Responsibilities**:

- Spiritual Leadership: Maintain a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, serving as a positive role model for campers and volunteers alike.
- Child Support: Create a nurturing and inclusive environment where children feel valued, supported, and encouraged in their faith.
- Program Planning: Assist in developing a comprehensive plan for the summer camp experience, including themes, activities, and schedules.
- Preparation and Execution: Help to coordinate all aspects of the camp, from logistics to curriculum development, ensuring a successful and enriching experience for all participants.
- Organization: Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Technical Proficiency: Utilize Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software for administrative tasks, communication, and documentation.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a team of volunteers and staff to implement the camp program and achieve shared goals.
- Public Speaking: Confidently communicate with the congregation, sharing updates about the camp and inspiring support for the ministry.
- Lesson Planning: Develop engaging and age-appropriate Sunday lessons that reinforce the camp's themes and objectives.
- Volunteer Training: Help to recruit, train, and empower volunteers to serve effectively in various roles throughout the camp.
- Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility and quick thinking to address unforeseen challenges and opportunities as they arise.

Qualifications:

- A personal commitment to following Jesus Christ and living out the values of Lighthouse Community Church.
- Experience working with children in a church or camp setting preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Comfortable speaking in front of large groups and engaging with diverse audiences.
- Creative and resourceful problem solver.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)
